[mrtg] MRTG not calculating rates

I am polling the sysLkTxCells and sysLkRxCells OIDs for a GDC Apex switch.
MRTG seems to correctly determine the rates for about a third of the links.
I did a check on the log file and it is reading a new number but it does not
appear to be calculating the rates.  Any ideas?
