Charles,

You can do this, but it's complex. You need to ensure that the mrtg
process has read/write permissions on the other computer\directory. If
you're running mrtg as a service, ensure that the service account has
R/W permission on the 'WorkDir' directory - this will not be the same as
your domain account.

Subject: [mrtg] Make MRTG put output on mapped drive

I am trying to use a shared folder from another computer, mapped to the
computer running MRTG, as the "Workdir" location to make MRTG put the
output on that machine where it will be used. When I try this MRTG
doesn't
record any new data and the lock file is not deleted.

Is this possible? Is it not recommended?

Thanks,
Charles
