I am monitoring a Redhat 7.3 box and having lots of problems graphing various bits of info although much works fine.
I am pretty sure that Redhat 7.3 is the root of these problems but I thought I would ask the question anyways.
An example of the type of errors I am getting is this when monitoring 'logged in users'
2003-11-27 11:35:01 -- Started mrtg
2003-11-27 11:35:04 -- ERROR: Target[cpfc.org.users][_IN_] '" $target->[2]{$mode} "' evaluated to ' 3 ' instead of a number
2003-11-27 11:35:04 -- ERROR: Target[cpfc.org.users][_OUT_] '" $target->[2]{$mode} "' evaluated to ' 3 ' instead of a number
2003-11-27 11:35:04 -- WARNING: Skipping Update of cpfc.org.users, inlast is not defined
2003-11-27 11:35:04 -- WARNING: Skipping Update of cpfc.org.users, outlast is not defined
Obviously the value '3' is correct but mrtg barfes
bash-2.05a$ who | wc -l
3
My config is like this
LoadMIBs: /usr/local/net-snmp/share/snmp/mibs/HOST-RESOURCES-MIB.txt
Target[cpfc.org.users]: ".1.3.6.1.2.1.6.9.0&.1.3.6.1.2.1.6.9.0:foo at cpfc.org"
Ytics[cpfc.org.users]: 10
Options[cpfc.org.users]: nopercent,gauge,noinfo
Title[cpfc.org.users]: Number of Logged in Users
PageTop[cpfc.org.users]:
Number of Logged in Users

MaxBytes[cpfc.org.users]: 100
YLegend[cpfc.org.users]: # users
ShortLegend[cpfc.org.users]:
LegendI[cpfc.org.users]: Users
LegendO[cpfc.org.users]:
Legend1[cpfc.org.users]: Number of logged in User
It's really annoying as many other graphing works fine, Open TCP connections, System Load etc.
Any help gratefully recieved.
Dave
