No, that's the job of what you put in the target.

If you need something to grab a description for what the OID stands
for, you'll need to do that outside of MRTG.

Will MRTG retrieve and fill in this VALUE???

Sure. Just like you did.

I do something similar...just add an "OID" line in the confing.

   <TR><TD>OID1:</TD> <TD>1.3.6.1.4.1.2021.255.40002.0</TD></TR>
   <TR><TD>OID2:</TD> <TD>1.3.6.1.4.1.2021.255.50002.0</TD></TR>

Is there a way to specify within the .cfg file an OID that will fill in text
on the html page?
ie.

   <TR><TD>System:</TD> <TD>SYSTEM</TD></TR>
   <TR><TD>Maintainer:</TD> <TD>1.3.6.1.4.1.2021.255.40002.0</TD></TR>
   <TR><TD>Description:</TD><TD>Radio Channel Throughput</TD></TR>
   <TR><TD>Formula:</TD> <TD>TBA</TD></TR>
   <TR><TD>Max Speed:</Td> <TD>2.0 Mbits/s</TD></TR>

???
