[mrtg] Generate text for other files?

For each interface, MRTG generates this text as part of the HTML file:

The statistics were last updated <B>Thursday, 16 October 2003 at 15:20</B>,<BR>
at which time <B>'apollo.paiz.org'</B> had been up for <B>4:34:14</B>.

Where can I find out how this was done, and how do I go about generating a 
last_update.html file with ONLY this text? I would like this to be included 
in my index page showing all interfaces (generated with indexmaker), but 
indexmaker did not generate this text.
