[mrtg] Configuration Tips

I was just wondering if anyone had some configuration tips for graphing
a large number of devices.  I will be monitoring about 4 SNMP strings
per device and about 1500-2000 devices.

Any SNMP timeout and retry setting that would help speed up the script
or scripts?  Also would I be better running multiple config files and
multiply instances of MRTG, or one large config file with one MRTG
instance or somewhere in between?
