How are you running MRTG? Do you have the "RunAsDaemon: yes" option set?
Are you running MRTG as a Windows service or using the FireDaemon app?

can anybody help me get mrtg to auto update on win 2000 server it acts
like rateup.exe is not working i unziped a copy of rate up to the bin
file and reran it but nothing still it is almost like it is uable to
establish the service for some reason
