I am having quite a difficult time monitoring memory utilization on a
Catalyst 6509 switch running a very old CISCO IOS- version 8.x.... I
have a .cfg file that I have entered for the following oids-> (Free Memory) & (Processor

However, everytime I run the .cfg file using the Perl command, I always

Received SNMP reposne with error code
error status: noSuchName
index 1 (OID:
ERROR: Target[x.x.x.x][_IN_] ' $target->[0]($mode) 'did not eval into
defined data
ERROR: Target[x.x.x.x][_OUT_] ' $target->[0]($mode) 'did not eval into
defined data

The weird thing is that I installed getIF and I verified that the MIBS
do exist! Why are these OIDs still unrecognizable???????

Do I need to specify an exact port number such as below (e.g. adding
different port numbers at the end of the OID): (Port 1) (Port 2) ....and so on

Any help will be greatly appreciated!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
