[mrtg] Re: Can't write .tmp files as --user mrtg after upgrade

Thanks for the response.  I have double-checked things, and added a logdir directive to both the "master" config file and the included one as well (have tried running the included file independantly for troubleshooting).

Here is the relevant information from my master, included file, and directory permissions
:
[tsheets at tntux mrtg]$ cat master-pps.cfg
Interval: 5
Refresh: 300
RunAsDaemon: yes
LogDir: /var/log/mrtg
WorkDir: /var/www/html/mrtg/pps
Options[_]: growright,nopercent
WithPeak[_]: wmy
IconDir: /images

Include: /home/mrtg/rtc-vi-pps.cfg


[tsheets at tntux mrtg]$ more rtc-vi-pps.cfg

LogDir: /var/log/mrtg
EnableIPv6: no
Options[_]: nopercent,growright
WithPeak[_]: wmy
Directory[_]: rtc-vi
WorkDir: /var/www/html/mrtg/pps
<snip rest of config file>

[root at tntux mrtg]# ls -l /var/log |grep mrtg
drwxrwsr-x    5 root     mrtg         4096 Mar  7 20:58 mrtg

[root at tntux mrtg]# ls -l /var/log/mrtg
drwxrwsr-x    2 root     mrtg         4096 Mar  7 21:02 master-pps
drwxrwsr-x    2 root     mrtg         4096 Mar  7 20:58 rtc-vi-pps

I have also logged in as the user 'mrtg' and can create files in the /var/log/mrtg/ directory (as well as the workdir).

Any other thoughts on why this doesn't work as the user 'mrtg' as it did before under version 2.9.29??
