Installing from source seemed to put it in:

[root at obiwan mrtg-2.10.15]# find / -name MRTG_lib.pm
/usr/local/mrtg-2/lib/mrtg2/MRTG_lib.pm
/home/derek/mrtg-2.10.15/lib/mrtg2/MRTG_lib.pm

A google search on this error does turn up the following URL:
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=118877

Which recommends a patch to FindBin.pm However, applying this patch
yielded no change for me.

Thanks for the suggestion, does my installed directory look sane? I ran
configure with no options.
