I use the following config options...

cfgmaker '--if-filter=($default && not $if_is_ciscovlan)'
--snmp-options=:::::2 --ifref=descr --ifdesc=descr --global
"Options[_]: growright,bits" --subdirs=HOSTNAME public at router

...when building configs for my 6509's.

I have eight 6509's that have ATM interfaces in them. They
are OC-3 port adaptors installed into flexwan (WS-X6182-2PA)
blades.

I am using snmpv2c counters on these targets. Here is the config
for one of the subinterfaces...(this is the result of the
cfgmaker command line above - I'm not using interface numbers
for ifref)...Other than changing the routername and comm string
via search and replace, this is exactly how it appears in
my config files...

Target[myrouter_ATM7_0_0.23-aal5_layer]: \ATM7/0/0.23-aal5\
layer:public at myrouter:::::2
Directory[myrouter_ATM7_0_0.23-aal5_layer]: myrouter
MaxBytes[myrouter_ATM7_0_0.23-aal5_layer]: 18720000
Title[myrouter_ATM7_0_0.23-aal5_layer]:
ATM7/0/0.16_ATM7/0/0.23-aal5-layer
PageTop[myrouter_ATM7_0_0.23-aal5_layer]:
ATM7/0/0.23-aal5 layer --
myrouter

Check with tcpdump/snoop/netmon on your server or debug snmp on
the cisco.

I'm running IOS 12.1(22)E1.
