[mrtg] having trouble starting mrtg, help please

on my windows 2000 pc, i get ....
c:\mrtg-2.12.1\bin>perl mrtg mrtg.cfg
c:/mrtg-2.12.1\binrateup: not found
ERROR: Skipping weupdates........on and on it goes.

does anyone know what this is about?

it seems like the bin directory and the "rateup" command should be seperated with a slash
