[mrtg] How to graph open files on linux

Hi there,
 
I am using the MRTG tool now for some days and my graphs are looking fine.
Now I want to graph open files on my linux servers. I´m looking around the web for a script to do this work but got no hints about "open files with mrtg".
Is anyone here who can support me with a script for this job ?
