I just setup MRTG to monitor a few of my Linux servers running Redhat
Enterprise 3 and am running into this problem. Since Linux grabs all
available memory and then allocates it according to applications use MRTG
always shows all memory in use. Even the old monitor apps like TOP show all
memory in use. I have looked through an SNMP walk but can't find anything
that show accurate information. The only app that show the correct
information is the monitor tool in redhat.

Does anyone have any idea how to monitor the correct mem available using
SNMP?

Thanks,
