Hi,
I am trying to get some counters from a Cisco 2950 Switch.
I have a config file like this :
Target[ip.ipInHdrErrors]:1.3.6.1.2.1.4.4.0 at 172.30.6.200:
MaxBytes[ip.ipInHdrErrors]:100
Ylegend[ip.ipInHdrErrors]:Errors
Title[ip.ipInHdrErrors]:IP Header Errors
PageTop[ip.ipInHdrErrors]:
IP Header Errors

MRTG does start without any problems.
However, the counters i've add just didn't seem to be measured.
I checked the event viewer, and for all entry's the following item was
listed :
Event Type: Information
Event Source: MRTG
Event Category: None
Event ID: 1000
Date: 3-1-2005
Time: 10:02:19
User: N/A
Computer: ACC_SERVER01
Description:
The description for Event ID ( 1000 ) in Source ( MRTG ) cannot be
found. The local computer may not have the necessary registry
information or message DLL files to display messages from a remote
computer. The following information is part of the event: ERROR:
Target[cpu][_OUT_] '1.3.6.1.4.1.9.2.1.58.0 at 172.30.6.200:' (warn):
(Missing operator before ?).
Can anyone explain me what i have done wrong ?
Is the ":" neccessary behind the ip address of the monitored device ?
--> counter at ipaddress:
Thanks in advance.
Regards,
Sebastian van Dijk
