I did something very similar at a client site, because I know they would be
adding and deleting config files after I left.
Yes it is possible. Therefore, the question becomes do you know enough Perl
to make it happen?

Alright folks, how about this?!?? Could I have one mrtg-rrd.cgi but
instead of hard coding the config files in the script, could I put them
on the URL?
Something like:
Http://www.monitoringserver.com/cgi-bin/mrtg-rrd.cfg?/path/to/mrtg1.cfg
Then if I want to look at another config, I just put it on the URL
instead of having it in the file.
Possible?
