[mrtg] Slightly OT: 14all absmax usage

I have a question regarding 14all and absmax / maxbytes red line usage.

I was running rrdtool graph to manually generate 117 graphs but this
has caused too much load on the machine so I am resorting to 14all 
to just display daily weekly results again. I used a HRULE in rrdtool
to show a line at about 80% usage and wanted to now do the same in 
14all. So I thought the absmax / maxbytes red line might be good.
Problem is it doesnt seem to be supported by 14all.. 

Has anyone else seen this and been able to produce a line on their
mrtg graphs another way ? 

OR.

Can suggest a better way to display a d,w,m,y graph from an rrd file
just like mrtg does via a cgi ( so that it only generates a graph 
when the user clicks on the page )
