Travis,

The message " SNMP Error: no response received" is clear.
MRTG depends on SNMP. As long as you can't communicate by SNMP with the target you can't build the MRTG config file.

So the first thing to do is find out why the SNMP requests to the target fail.

There are several reasons why SNMP communication can fail. To mention some:
SNMP not running on the target
Wrong SNMP configuration on the target
Not using the right community string within the SNMP request
SNMP traffic is blocked somewhere in the network.

Does anyone have a sample file to share for monitoring bandwidth, CPU and memory?  This was very straight forward with my Ciscos, but it seems to fail when I try to run the following command against my sonicwall.




perl cfgmaker public at 10.10.10.1 --global "WorkDir: c:\test" --output mrtg_SW.cfg



It always fails with:
