If you use routers2 as your frontend to MRTG, then you can do this by using
the port status plugin. You will need to use the routers.cgi*Extension[]
directive to link the plugin to the various Target[]s corresponding to
ports. More details are given in the documentation with the plugin, in the
extensions subdirectory of the package.
