[mrtg] '--daemon' option vs. RunAsDaemon:Yes

I've seen several people use '--daemon' in the command line.

I've yet to find any official documentation on using --daemon. Are there any
advantages to using that instead of including the RunAsDaemon:Yes line in
your cfg file?

I noticed that there is no --interval option, so if you just use --daemon,
how do you set the intervals, or are you forced to have that in your config?
