[mrtg] Cisco 2916 no values reporting

Hello All, 

I have configured a 2916 in MRTG (ver 2.15.0).

I see the interface traffic updating on vlan1 only - but all the other
interfaces (all 16 are active) show exactly 35 b/s for the last 6 hours
(since I configured it).

On the 2916 I enabled RO SNMP and nothing else. Didn't feel i needed to.
15 ports are all auto - one is set to port monitor fa0/1. Nothing
special about this config. 

Can anyone enlighten me please?
