You could try out my MRTG "stuffer" program--there's still a link with
information on how to use it at
http://web.archive.org/web/20021010035349/http://buckaroo.xo.com/MRTG/
(look for "mrtg_stuffer.pl"), or I can email you a copy if needed.  It's pretty
ancient, but should do what you need.

I understand that MRTG knows to use external utility
for reading "real-time" data, but how I deal with
historical data with timestamps?
