[mrtg] Inbound and outbound values are identical

Daniel,

Thank you very much for your response.

Device, I have problems monitoring with MRTG, is ASA 5510.
Cisco Adaptive Security Appliance Software Version 7.2(2)

MRTG v 2.15.2

ASA is configured in regular firewall mode. No "PIX on a stick". Config
contains very few inbound and outbound rules one site-to-site VPN
tunnel, VPN for client remote connectivity and this firewall is not
heavily utilized.

I run MRTG against another ASA but 5550 model (same code level as
problematic 5510) and I don't have any problems monitoring the traffic
like I have with 5510. I also monitor traffic on multiple PIX 525s with
code 6.3.5 and don't have any problems either.

Let me know if you need to know more details.

Again, I appreciate your response and any support you can provide in
this matter.

Perhaps if you told us what version of code you were running (on either
the ASA or MRTG), or if you posted a sanitized mrtg config, we might
have more insight for you.

I don't have any ASA in production, but my 9 FWSM and many PIX all
report traffic appropriately.

Is your topology "pix on a stick?"

In the release notes I have read, there were some mib additions in the
8.0.x train - I think the entity mib just got added, but going from
memory here - but no indications that existing mibs were changed at all.
