Thank you......yes i started monitoring at 22:45 and i didnt change the max bytes....The max bytes option is the same as the line speed.....what i am asking is after 22:45 the graph should be a constant line(or a sawtooth waveform because of tcp) but instead of that in the graph it is showing that the traffic is coming down and going up constantly which shouldnt be the case.....or is it that i am misinterpreting the graphs

This looks as if either: 

   

1) You only started monitoring at about
22:45 and so just have zeros before this, or 

2) You have MaxBytes[] set too low, and
previous values were over this and so were rejected (stored as zero).  In
this case, set MaxBytes[] to 4kB, but set AbsMax[] to your linespeed.
