[mrtg] mrtg not updating

This is 2.8.12, running on HPUX 11.0

We added a device to the mrtg.cfg file.
Then ran ./mrtg mrtg.cfg with this result:

SNMPGET Problem for ifInOctets.7 ifOutOctets.7 sysUptime sysName ifDescr.7 on public at 168.156.193.129
SNMPGET: Failed to reach target: "7:public at 168.156.193.129". I tried multiple times! public at 168.156.193.129

Just for giggles, we ran the make-index script, but no index created.

Any idea what's wrong?
