[mrtg] Restarting daemon problem

Hi,

Running MRTG 2.15.1 on FreeBSD 8.0-Release-p2. Recently changed to daemon
mode due to CPU issues. Have 8 master config files that only contain include
statements to other config files. Works great except when I try to HUP one
of the master config files. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't.
Frequently I have to kill the pid and then restart, which works every time.
This is not likely caused by config file errors as sometimes I repeatedly
kill -1 pid and eventually it works.

Any thoughts ?
