[mrtg] cfgmaker not creating a .cfg file

Hello,
I posted this message 6 days ago but it has never been accepted....

I am configuring mrtg on a windows 7 platform.

perl is working and when i try to create the .cfg the command completes
without errors  but there is no file created.

I am using the "WorkDir: c:\www\mrtg" default and have changed the
permissions on the folder to ensure access

if i change the path to "WorkDir: c:\www\mrtg\" the HTML displays in the
console with the correct details of the router.

perl -c cfgmaker outputs that the syntax is correct

anyone know whats going on?
