Try 'U' for 'Unknown'. However MRTG is quite clever, and anything that doesnt look like a number will be treated as an 'unknown'.

Subject: [mrtg] what to pass when not data?

Hello,

What values can be passed to MRTG when ther was no data available?

Eg:
Target[test]: `test.pl host`

In normal circumstances test.pl would pass 2 values separated by \n.
But wat should the script pass along if it could not get data (from the host)?

NA
