[mrtg] Installation problem

You have left out so many details we need to provide serious help.

Linux distro?

What commands did you use to install libgd?  did you run ldconfig?  Does 
the linux distro you are running have a pre-made libgd to install(and/or 
a pre-made mrtg install?)?
