attached is yet another version of the patch. I've compressed it so this
mail doesn't get caught in the moderation filter again.

Changes since my last mail include:
- Add support for <smoothing_window> blocks.
- Add compatibility code for that 1.0.49 stuff. (Untested!)
- Check that all <ds> blocks appear before <rra> blocks. Otherwise
  segfaults may have happened.
- Changed the license from `GPLv2 only' to `GPLv2 or later', so you can
  switch to GPLv3 if you feel like it.
