[rrd-users] Perl dumping core with RRDs?

Has anyone ever had Perl dump core when using the RRDs module?

I tried installing MRTG/RRDTool on a FreeBSD 2.2.7 machine with Perl
5.005_03.

RRDTool appears to work fine by itself, but when methods of the RRDs
module are called, perl crashes.
