The 64-bit counters may well be supported by your IOS version, but
they aren't accessible using SNMPv1. If you can use SNMPv2 or SNMPv3,
you may see them.
Unfortunately MRTG isn't able to use SNMP versions other than SNMPv1.
Hacking it to do so wouldn't be too difficult (the SNMP library does
support (community-based) SNMPv2). Doing so in a clean manner,
i.e. adding configuration options so that different SNMP versions
could be selected for different target hosts, would be a bit harder.
