[rrd-users] printing last update and last values in web pages via rrdcgi?

Anybody know how to print the last update time for an RRD
using rrdcgi?  How 'bout the last value for each DS in each RRA?

I'm looking to emulate the 

 "The statistics were last updated ..."

and 

 "Max In: 1107.3 kb/s   Average In: 213.8 kb/s   Current In: 505.6 kb/s"

output on standard MRTG web pages.
