Hello!
RRDtool has become my favourite toy and I am making graphs for just about
anything I can get my hands on. :)
Right now I am trying to tweak RRDtool into making graphs on our printer
usage, showing the number of pages printed per day on each individual
printer and the daily total.
Getting the number of pages per second was easy, but not very usefull...
I have experimented with setting the step size to 86400 seconds and
prescaling the page counter with 86400 before entering it into the
database and similar things, but I can't get it to look right, maby
because of rounding errors introduced.
Does anyone have any tips on how to set things up to get good
results? Next thing I am going to try is to use a 'gauge' datatype and
convert the page counter by hand before entering it.
Regards,
Fredrik
