This should probably go into some kind of FAQ, but...

Pod2man is lives in the same directory as Perl.  Perl is often configured
with a copy or a symlink of the 'perl' binary in /usr/bin or /usr/local/bin.
This second copy of the perl binary is in your path, but the perl binary
directory is not.  Find the perl binarydirectory and put it in your PATH.
This directory is usually named something like /usr/local/perl/bin,
/usr/bin/perl/bin, /usr/local/bin/perl/bin, or /usr/perl/bin.
