[rrd-users] date format for updates

Hi,

I am attempting to use RRD to plot some Bit Error Rate polls. Not having
a lot of luck despite having beaten my head against the wall for about
two days now. Am hoping someone out there will take pity on a newbie

I seem to be able to create an RRD using

rrdtool create ber.rrd --start 06/12/2000,13:11 -s 900
DS:a:ABSOLUTE:1800:U:U DS:b:ABSOLUTE:1800:U:U DS:c:ABSOLUTE:1800:U:U
DS:d:ABSOLUTE:1800:U:U RRA:AVERAGE:0.5:1:17280


however when I attempt to update it using

rrdtool update ber.rrd 06/12/2000,13:26:2.53E-08:4.92E-08:7.92E-08

I get an error message complaining about the interval

yes there are only three values in the update, when I try to include
four values I get an error message complaining about trying to put in 5
values, trying to fix one thing at a time
