[rrd-users] segmentation fault: rrdtool & trytime

Hi,

After trying to solve the problem I had with the fact that --step and --start 
were not recognised, I found out that rrdtool and trytime both give a 
segmentation fault.

These are machine details:
SunOS pop-backup 5.7 Generic sun4u sparc SUNW,UltraSPARC-IIi-cEngine

This is perl, version 5.005_03 built for sun4-solaris

This gives segmentation fault:
 ./rrdtool create temperature --step 300 DS:GAUGE:600:-273:5000 
RRA:AVERAGE:1:1200 RRA:MIN:12:2400 RRA:MAX:12:2400 RRA:AVERAGE:12:2400

for security reasons this machine does not have a compiler, so the packages was 
compiled on another machine, after which the whole tree was moved. Can this 
problem be causes by the fact that rrdtool can't find a library?
