[rrd-users] Adding RRA's to an existing database

I've not found an answer to this question: If possible, how does one add more 
RRA's to an existing RRD Database.

At present I have a bunch of databases that only have RRA using the AVERAGE 
function. I'd like to add MAX, MIN, and LAST RRA's into the database. It's OK 
to NaN values in the new RRA's. I just want to preserve the existing data in 
the databases.
