[rrd-users] AVERAGE and MAX once again

Hi RRD users :)

Since 2 weeks I'm using RRD. Really great work.

But I have allready a open question..

Who can explain me, how mrtg or also rrd can calculate the maxima of a
networklink.

Both tools got results trough there collecting interval. To calculate the
average is easy, but
how this tools can calculate the maximum, with the same results as they
calculate the average.

I try to find this out in the last 2 hours... I'm going crazy :)

But I don't wanna go crazy...
