[rrd-users] Installation problems with Redhat Linux 7.1

I have tried to install rrdtool 1.0.33, but I get the following error
"checking host system type... configure: error: can not guess host type; you
must sepcify one"

I checked out using command "set" and found that the variable HOSTTYPE has
been set to i386.
How could I resovle this.
