You are installing an rpm. It seems to me that you should also
install cricket from an rpm in that case, provided by the same
manufacturer and for the same OS version.

Just download the source and compile it, it should work just fine.

However, I think the problem is somewhat different: if I understand
your problem, rrdtool works by itself but cricket cannot find parts
from rrdtool.  Maybe you should tell cricket (at compile time) where
to find those parts?
