That's not a task for rrdtool, but a task for the tool that's getting
the info out of your router. That tool knows the value between polling
and updating the rrd and can act upon.

Rrdtool just logs and generates graphs.

Hello,

I am a complete newbie om RDD, but is it possible to let RDD generate an
email when a certain value is passed? say: i have a network link I am
monitoring, and I want an email as soon als the traffic is over 90% of
the capacity. 

Can this be done, and if yes: How?
