Hi!

I think what you wanted was an example of how to use MRTG(+RRD) to
collect information other than ifInOctets and ifOutOctets. For what I can
see you wanted to collect information about the ifOperStatus.

If, you're using MRTG (in conjuction with RRD) to collect data into
a RRD database, you should have your 'Target' in the .CFG file look
something like this:

Target[routerA.cpu]:1.3.6.1.4.1.9.2.1.56.0&1.3.6.1.4.1.9.2.1.56.0:public at rou
terA
	(...)

This example refersto the CPU usage OID, you should check the
ifOperStatus OID for the interface you want to monitor.

Alex, could you tell me what is the ifOperHack (is it from the
MIB-II)?

	Hope this helps. Bye.

Isn't ifOperStatus available from MRTG itself? If memory serves, it also
has ifOperHack which gives more useful results...

cheers,
