[rrd-users] Traffic over interface

I`m logging traffic that i make over my modem and I want to dump all traffic 
I done. I tryed 'rrdtool fetch -s end-1year...' and i get only about 10 
numbers. I want to get all the numbers and then I will sum them and get the 
traffic I make. Am I right? 
The problem is how to get those numbers(all of them) and are they allready 
/60 because I save data only every 300s, so rrd has to make /300 to get 
bytes/s or what? I use mrtg to store data...
