[rrd-users] something seriously wrong with rrd

Ok, out of desperation I tried the tutorial example from the rrdtool website:

I followed the example to the letter, case sensitive and all (I cut and 
pasted),
and from the fetch command this is what I get:

  920808900: 3.3333333333e-03
  920809200: nan

it's supposed to look like this (as per webpage):

Why am I getting exponents and garbage ?
