[rrd-users] Re: rrd_fetch Segmentation Fault - getopts

Hello Tobi,

I have retested without the optind=0 addition, and I cannot reproduce
the segmentation fault.

I have gone back also to the previous version of rrdtool 1.1.x I had
been using which was the cvs snapshot of 2002-05-04 and I still cannot
reproduce it. I am not quite sure what to think.

I was getting segfaults consistently using 2002-05-08, I recompiled
rrdtool using 2002-07-04 and was still getting segfaults, I added those
lines and it started working consistently.

Two days later, with no changes to my code, I go back to the said
versions and do not get the segfaults. I don't know what to say. I guess
all I can say is sorry for interruption, and if it does happen again I
will try and get more info as to where exactly it was crashing and
burning. :-)

I am resting my case, I am going back to the original stock version of
the rrd tool snapshot. For a development branch it certainly is stable.
