[rrd-users] Exec format error (HP-UX)

I installed MRTG and RRDTOOL on a 
HP-UX 11.0 system. 

When I launch the command: 

mrtg --logging=/usr/local/mrtg/log.log /usr/local/mrtg/mrtg.cfg 

I've this error: 
2002-07-24 11:19:43 -- Can't load '/usr/local/rrdtool-1.0.38/lib/perl//auto/RRDs/RRDs.sl' 
for module RRDs: Exec format error at /usr/local/lib/perl5/5.00503/PA-RISC1.1/DynaLoader.pm line 
169. at /usr/local/bin/mrtg line 160 

What does it mean? 
If I use only mrtg it works and also if I use only rrdttol it works. 
The problem arises when I try to use both them. 
I've compiled both with gcc 3.0.2 
Perl was installed with a HP package
