That is an OID. Devices which speak SNMP support various MIBs. Since MIBs are
tree data structures the OID describes a path through the tree. I like to think
of it as a way to describe the location of a needle in a haystack. The ifEntry
MIB object is part of the Interface Group MIB aka IF-MIB,

Your best bet for these types of stats is to use Netflow
(http://www.cisco.com/warp/public/732/Tech/netflow/netflow_techdoc.shtml),
Cflowd (http://www.caida.org/tools/measurement/cflowd/), and FlowScan
(http://www.caida.org/tools/utilities/flowscan/).
