[rrd-users] merging old and new data from two rrds

Hey, folks -- I've got a small problem which I'd love to get some pointers
on, if anyone's done something similar.

I had some very long-running rrds.  For reasons not really important here,
I needed to move those files aside and restart the processes feeding data
into them, in the process creating new rrd files.  Two weeks go by.  Now
I've got the old rrd files and the two-week-old files.  I'm looking to
merge them together so that I've got both the older historical data and
also the last two weeks of data, all put together.  

Is there any simple way to do this, or am I doomed to a painful manual
merging of each and every data point?  Any pointers or suggestions would be
most, most welcome.  Thanks.
