[rrd-users] Multiple DS's per file vs lots of smaller files

I was wondering if someone had done some kind of study to figure out if it is more efficent (disk 
I/O wise) to have multiple DS's in the same file, or have a 1:1 mapping, and where you see 
diminishing returns .. (eg 5 x 5 DS/file is around the same to update as a 1 x 25 DS file)
